We are taking the road less travelled.
& we're loving it!

Seven years into traveling solo and on a budget, I’ve found my own path. I’m here to show that it’s possible, and that sometimes, the best adventures are the ones you carve out for yourself.

Meet Himanshi,
The Nomad

I’m Himanshi Shah, a travel addict born in the crowded city of Mumbai, India. In 2017, a dream trip to Japan changed the course of my existence, forever.

In the past seven years, I have given it my all to build a life of full-time travel. I’ve done so using just my laptop, camera, and a bunch of skills I’ve picked up along the way.

I’ve traveled to remote corners of the planet. From the pueblos of Mexico to the dragon temples of Thailand. From the jungles of Bali to the neon-lit streets of Japan. I have learned more from globetrotting than what any four-walled classroom could ever teach me.

An award-winning full-stack digital marketing studio

Nomadic Travelscapes is an amalgamation of my experiences and stories from the road. Here, you will find in-depth travel information, beautiful photo stories, endless inspiration, and travel hacks to help you achieve the digital nomad life of your dreams.

So, drink up a shot of espresso (or mezcal) and read on to leave behind the mundane everyday dimension, and zap into my spaceship to go on an adventure!

Common questions

Slow, budget-conscious travel is my way of exploration. The thing I enjoy most about travel is the ability to connect with the locals and immerse in the country’s culture. More often than not, I travel solo, which allows me to wander at my own pace while uncovering hidden gems in off-beaten paths.

I studied visual arts for four years, and after a brief period as an in-house designer, I transitioned into freelancing and remote work full-time.

I spent five years as the lead graphic designer for Greenkarma in Germany, worked as a visual artist for a winery in Australia, and have been a ghostwriter for various publications. Additionally, I run successful print-on-demand ventures, selling my photography across a range of products.

Currently, I’m the lead designer for Pindan Health, Australia & a travel writer with Live Japan.

And of course, I’m focused on creating tons of helpful content for you on this website, but I’m always open to working on fun freelance design and writing projects!

I’ve been a lifelong vegetarian, but when traveling to small towns with limited restaurant options, I adapt as needed. This might mean having broth that isn’t strictly vegetarian or eating quesadillas prepared in pans alongside meat dishes.

I provide my creative services to promote brands and companies. If you are a tourism board or organization that would like to promote your travel business, reach out to me at hello@nomadictravelscapes.com
